The lowest-cost packing route
If you are comfortable packing your own belongings, paying movers to do every box may not make sense. Our budget-friendly option is simple: we can drop off boxes, tape, wardrobe boxes, stretch wrap and packing paper, you pack before move day, and we handle the move.
Use the right box for the weight
Heavy items belong in smaller boxes. Lighter bulky items can go into larger boxes. Overloaded large boxes are harder to move safely and are more likely to fail.
Label by destination room
Write the destination room clearly on the top and at least one side. Good labels reduce questions at the door and help the unload move faster.
Wardrobe boxes save time
Hanging clothes can move directly from the closet into a wardrobe box. Ask for them with your supply drop if you want to avoid folding and repacking.
When to buy packing help
Fragile kitchens, artwork, awkward furniture or a short timeline are good reasons to use partial packing. You can still pack most of the home yourself and pay only for the help that adds value.
Be move-day ready
Self-packing saves money only if packing is finished before the crew arrives. Open boxes and last-minute packing can slow the move and erase some of the labour savings.
